On Saturday, November 6, Field-of-Lilies ministry invited fellow Christians to take a stand on the corner of Peck and Lower Azusa Rd., in the city of El Monte, (where a Planned Parenthood Clinic is). They showed up in the love of the Spirit, with smiles, and “Signs” of encouragement in a Rally 4 Life.
Below are a few words from Stephanie and a handful of pics that captured the moment. Thanks to all who participated and prayed. You can get more information on Field-of-Lilies on IG (https://www.instagram.com/field_of_lilies/)
The week I was released from the hospital I spent some much needed time alone with Jesus. When He spoke, it was an answer to a prayer I had been asking before I was hospitalized.
He gave me:
2 Corinthians 8:10–11 (NKJV) “And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; 11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.”
Right when I read it I knew God was confirming another rally. I was floored because I wasn’t even expecting to hear about a rally. I was still in recovery. The next thing I heard was an almost audible moment from God – “There’s still work to be done.” With a smile and tears, I knew I still had breath in my lungs because God wasn’t done with me yet. There were/are babies He’s called me to stand up and fight for.
Courage is contagious and it was amazing to see so many first-timers out there, plus some familiar faces from last year. During the rally a lady was stopped at a red light and shouted to us, “It’s because of people like you I decided to keep my son,” and she proceeded to point to her little guy sitting in the back seat. He looked to be about 2 or 3 years old. That was one of the coolest things to ever hear! It was like a word of encouragement from a perfect stranger God gave us to let us know we are making a difference, even if we were just standing there with smiles, holding signs. You never know what little life a smile and sign can save, all because of a simple step of faith and act of obedience.
Pastor Chuck Smith said, “There comes a time when we need to quit talking and we need to start acting. Start doing it. There’s a time when, really, you need to quit praying and start moving.”
