What an amazing start we had to our “Prove Yourself a Man” Men’s fellowship, based on King David’s last words to his son Solomon. (1 Kings 2:2-4) We spent some time in worship, we heard a panel study on the importance of God’s Word in our lives, and then got into small groups for discussion. We ended the night with some good food and fellowship.
All that to say, come and join us on Wednesday nights, at 7PM as we get together with the the men of the church, fellowship and break bread together.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (626) 454-3414.
The Men’s Fellowship BBQ was a major blessing. Over 70 guys came out on Wednesday, May 28 for a time of fellowship, breaking bread, worship and a Bible study. It’s so encouraging to see the men gather together for these events. It’s vital to be continually reminded and challenged from God’s Word about our responsibilities as God’s sons! Pastor Tony Scotti from Calvary Chapel Pasadena delivered that challenge as he taught out of 1 Corinthians 9:24-27; a study entitled, “Running our Priorities.” If you weren’t able to make it, Lord willing, you can join us next time!

Wednesday, May 28, 2014 – “Running Your Priorities,” by Associate Pastor Tony Scotti, from Calvary Chapel Pasadena
Calvary Chapel El Monte’s 2013 Annual Men’s Retreat was an absolute blessing. We had over 40 men go up to the mountains of Twin Peaks – for almost half of them, this was their first retreat – ever! We again teamed up with Calvary Chapel LAX who also took 40 brothers.
We had the privilege of welcoming Pastor Dan Finfrock of Intensive Care Ministries as our guest speaker. Pastor Dan who is a football coach, a long time pastor, and missionary taught us the importance of being, “Men of the Playbook.” He stressed the importance that, like an athlete who should know, breathe, and live their playbook, we should do the same with God’s Book, His Word.
As always the staff and the food at the retreat were top notch, but the highlight of the weekend was the fellowship. We believe that God did an amazing work in establishing brotherhood bonds between the guys. If for some reason you weren’t able to go with us this year, we pray you make plans to join us next year, if the Lord tarries.
